I thought I share somethings. Not trying to create a big pity party, but I thought I share my thoughts.
April Fool's Day had always been different for me. 13 years ago on April 1st, my mom passed away. My dad found her not breathing on their bed at midnight. He woke me and my brother's up hours later and told us the news. When I came downstairs, I saw my Nana, uncle Mike, aunt Betty, aunt Mary Ann and aunt Lil in the kitchen. My nana was in tears. I was 8 years old but I knew what was happening. To make us feel better , my aunt Betty took me and my brothers to Burger King for lunch that day. We each got happy meals and they happened to had special Pokemon toys. which cheered me up a bit. The funeral was awful and I cried a lot. I also remember bring my Game Boy Color to the wake and playing Pokemon Red, but I was still crying and really devastated. And to this day, I remember her more than focusing on April Fool's pranks.
Despite all this , I do still try to not let the tragedy of the day get to me and I learn to enjoy any AF prank that happens. I loved PC's prank. It was hilarious being a Pokemon and I love how it was all random. I managed to get two Pokemon I wanted.
A shiny Arceus and a Treecko.
Loved Google's prank too. Google Nose was hilarious and the video made me crack up. Image if it were real. You'd see people sniffing their phones, laptops, tablets and computers all the time. It would be hilarious. XD
Though even if it's a day for pranks, I still take time in my day to remember my mom. Who i loved so much. Hope to see you again mom. Hoping you're with God in heaven.
