[Windy's Anime Impression] When Serena Gets Serious...

Whoa, Serena sure is serious.

Last night, I just watched one of another recent Japanese episodes of Pokémon X and Y anime, even though it's not the latest. Of course, this particular episode focuses on Serena, and I warned you guys, that this might contain some major spoilers, unlike the last one that I was discussing before.

In that episode, Serena meets her mom, which wants her to undergo the Rhyhorn racing training again, and things were quite rough, considering Serena has already find a goal of her own, to become a Pokémon Performer, and Serena was unsure if her mom will approve it, and not sure to tell it directly too.

Then, when she was having some Performer practice, Team Rocket starting to steal the cheese in a building nearby, and their actions are noticed by the cheese workers, Serena, and later Ash and his friends. Ash and his friends started to chase Team Rocket with Skiddo, but Serena, knowing that Rhyhorn is much faster, decided to wake up a nearby Rhyhorn and asked it to lend its power. This action doesn't go unnoticed by her mom, too!

Whoa, Serena is starting to getting hang of riding Rhyhorn, considering that I never see her ride Rhyhorn so well, but then, it's Serena going serious, and she's able to keep up with Team Rocket which is riding the truck. And after some blasting off moments for Team Rocket as usual, Serena have the chance to tell her mom, and told that she wants to having a Rhyhorn racing showdown with her mom to show how serious she is at this. Her mom decides to have the Skiddo racing instead of Rhyhorn's.

So the racing begins, and even though Serena was having some troubles when riding and fall down, she is really determined at winning it and not just standing there, unlike back then, and eventually wins against her mom, and winning the approval to become Pokémon Performer too.

I personally find this enjoyable, that it's finished with Rhyhorn, I mean, Skiddo racing, which ties in the wish that Serena's mom make and Serena's own aspirations, and this episode have nailed it in style. And remember, no matter what's the outcome, it's not good to just standing there. Even this little Victini also have to learn about this. So, whatever you do, never ever give up!
