  • This is quite literally the worst day ever. >_<

I went and had my taxes done last week, and was expecting to get a cool $338 refund that will go towards getting my car fixed up so I can actually drive it without breaking the law every time.

...fast-forward to today. I get a letter in the mail from the U.S. Department of the Treasury informing me that they will forward my entire tax refund to the lame student loan agency that's been on my ass for four years now to alleviate my debt towards them.

This is outrageous...it's times like these that I literally get the feeling that my country and its society (henceforth referred to by the infamous term, 'The Man') are specifically out to keep me from ever going anywhere in life.
    - I wanna do something with my life after high school, and 'The Man' is like, "Go to college, but you have to pay for it yourself cuz u got no scholarships and ur parents are poor!"
    - I finally buy my way in and 'The Man' is like, "Ur doing it the n00b way. I'll make ur mom move 1500 miles away and put ur dad in jail...with no parental support, ur now playing on hard mode!!"
    - I get a part time job (as it's the only kind of job I can find these days) to cover my newly acquired bills , 'The Man' tells me, "**** you, you're car's broken now"
    - I finally get the chance to get my life on track again, and 'The Man' is like, "lol, fail harder n00blet!!"

The lesson here kids, is never assume life is easy, and be thankful for any blessing you do have, no matter how small. >_<

This was announced awhile ago. TT; It's because there are a ton of people in ridiculous amounts of debt and, understandibly, the goverment sees no reason to give you money when you owe them money. It's always been done with things like unpaid childsupport and court fees and with student loans at their highest rate ever, it's now being included. They're out a lot of money to alot of people with no means to pay.

The actual lesson here children is not to take out student loans unless you have to. Average student will have 50 - 75 grand in loans by the time they graduate. :/ Do community college and scholarships and don't live on campus.
