Realistic first thoughts for X & Y

    Hey guys.

If you've seen my last blog, I was really hyped up when I first got them. But, this is actually not really how I first perceived the games for. So, here are my first thoughts for generation six:

One thing that I can say is, I'm really nervous & edgy, I'm not going to lie to you guys anymore. The main reason being is, their still is no hacking device for the 3DS. That means I'm pretty much being forced to play it without any codes, namely an unlimited PP code & a Wild Pokémon modifier code. In the past couple of generations, I've relied on those codes for speedy meat-grinding & accurate EV training of my Pokémon for generations four & five, so going without those is going to be a really shaky endeavor for me.

The secondary reason is that during B/W, my interest in the games has been at a really sharp decline, which is something that B2/W2 wasn't able to fix. To me, generation five is a disappointment to me overall. Thus, I'm not giving X & Y much leeway.

With that all said, if generation six isn't able to live up to everything that you guys are claiming it to be, & if it doesn't re-ignite my passion for the games, then it's time for me to hang up my trainer's bag & retire...

  • I personally prefer going through the games without any help from any sort of hacking devices such as AR so as to make the gaming experience more of my own effort, but that's just my style. I believe you'll like the games though, as I've said. Just take it lightly, too much edginess doesn't help much.

Okay, you do bring up a really good point with that. I'm just thinking that with the 3DS being completely unhackable, that the guys over at GameFreak are giving me a sign, which is telling me that I can't enjoy the games at all if I using such a thing. Either I'm going to rise up to this, or I'm going to falter, & if I do falter, then it's a sure sign that it's time for me to go back to the games that I really like, which would be my violent shooters.

Even without a hacking device, I'm not going into this without some kind of plan...
