  • Me, being bored, decided to play my LeafGreen version and restart my game. I remember playing Red and Blue and how Giovanni's Pokemon were all from Level 50, to Level 55. He was definately a challenge back then. Now, during LG/FR, he's a pushover if you trained your Pokemon correctly.

I never did beat those games (in fact the first game I officially beat was Crystal a few years later.)

I played LeafGreen before, but never beat the game. Leveling up later in this game is excruciatingly difficult and I wouldn't want to constantly burn valuable Poke having my butt handed to me by the Elite 4 in an attempt to gain massive amounts of EXP. Points. So, I'm trying to get as much EXP. Pts. as possible at every stop, while trying to keep my team at balanced levels.

After some deliberation, and a mapping out of my eventual team, I stated with Squritle. The first team member I caught was Pidgey, then later Pikachu. Later drafted a Meowth and got a Dratini from the Game Corner to bring the team up to 5 Pokemon.

Out of all the rival battles so far, the hardest has to the battle in Cerulean City. Teams are still being developed, but if you don't train your Pokemon that much, the battle is hard. I managed to squeak a victory out using Pidgey against my Rival, Gary's Abra.

Currently en route to Cinnabar Island to do some more level grinding before challenging Blaine

    Current Team:

    Dragonair Lv. 43
    Blastoise Lv. 43
    Persian Lv. 43
    Pikachu Lv. 43
    Pidegot Lv. 43

I have 6 Gym Badges currently.
