30 Days of Pokemon: Day 28

Day 28: Favorite Pokemon game

Platinum.

Platinum for me was pretty much the high point of the Pokemon series, at least so far. It pretty much improved on most everything from D/P, and, given that Pokemon game plots have never been spectacular, did have the most engaging plot of the main series to date. It had all of the most important game features without a whole lot of extraneous stuff that bogged down other games (pointless minigames, excessive number of cameo appearances, etc.) It's also the only main series Pokemon game that allows the player to dabble in real estate ventures, which is a big plus for me.
