►January 3rd 2023 : Version 8.0 is out ! - Check out below for the changelog and download links ◄

    ►Intro

I have been a Pokemon player since my childhood and have tried lots of rom hacks before deciding to create my own.
This hack is a remake of Pokemon Fire Red with only slight changes to the storyline.

The main idea behind this rom is to have a game with :
    - A vast choice of viable Pokemon (514 Pokemon from all 8 Generations all obtainable before Elite Four)
    - A large variety of Pokemon you encounter in opposing trainer teams (approx. 500 Pokemon distributed in trainers teams)
    - Moves, abilities and other gameplay mechanics from generations IV to VIII
    - A possibility to obtain all main battle items and to teach all learnable moves (from all generations)
    - An early possibility to breed perfect Pokemon (early access to DexNav, Daycare, Destiny Knot and Everstone)
    - An easy and fast way to give Pokemon EVs (EV based grass)
    - A more intelligent AI and an adjusted level curve to make the game more enjoyable (This is not a difficulty hack). Keep in mind that the level curve is consistent if you use the Exp. Share and battle all trainers.

This hack is built upon Leon DPE+CFRU rom base as well as Dynamic Pokemon Expansion and Complete FireRed Upgrade engine built by Skeli789, Goulslash, and others.
Most of the features in this hack are provided by these engines.
PS : If anyone would like to use this rom as a rom base, I can send all the necessary files (including DPE and CFRU files)

How do you get the Exp. Share in this game? Is it like in the original Fire Red? I wish that you can obtain it early to make early game grinding less of a hassle...

Almost perfect. Just finished the 3rd gym and its been absolutely awesome so far, the nostalgic feel of the OG FireRed + CFRU and Gen 4-8 mons are so good.

I would +1 on the early access to the Gen 8 EXP share though, considering theres so many awesome mons early, the excitement gets brushed off by the idea of having to grind them again just to be on par with your mains. I was already able to get a Gible, Trapinch and Bagon by the time I got to Celadon and just stuffed them in the PC, because again, grinding, ugghh.

Also, I don't know if I missed something but I'm already on the 4th gym and I still don't even have an Old rod, was only able to get Wooper as my water type. Found him in grass somewhere.

Thanks a lot for this message, it made my day!

First, I had this comment about the Exp. Share many times, so I am working on it to make it accessible in the early game.

Second, for early water types, you can catch Azurill in route 4, Wooper in route 25 and you can get the Old Rod in Vermilion City. With the Old Rod you can catch Magikarp, Feebas and Tympole. In every location, you have 70% chance of catching Magikarp and 30% chance of either Feebas or Tympole (depending on the location).

Nice! I'm absolutely looking forward to the update, and thank you for making such a great version!

Also, thanks for the info on early water types and the Old rod. Azurill could have been awesome but my dumbass might have missed it.

Btw, hinting on an Emerald 514 question mark??? lol

I'm loving this hack so far, love the causal playthrough. I'm heading to fight Misty, but skipped around beat my rival and slipped town to vermillion first to find new mons. Encountered a Togekiss. In order to evolve, I'm assuming use a shiny stone?? Will I be able to get this via in Celadon Supermarket or via wild items??

Having just reached Blaine. The level curve of the game needs work. Trainers are too low yet the Gym leaders are way too high. going out of the way to fight every trainer in Kanto has still left me a good 13-15 levels lower then Blaines team. EXP Share never on once.

I love a lot about this hack, I enjoy the wider selection, more moves and even the raised challenge is nice. I just feel the Gyms spike too much.

Hello, I'm glad you're enjoying the hack!
All evolution items can be found in the Celadon City Dept Store.

    Thanks for your feedback.
First, I have adjusted the level curve according to the worst-case scenario.. which is activating Exp. Share from the start. I wanted to avoid people getting too strong compared to gym leaders. So yeah, if you decide to turn off Exp. Share, it's going to get more challenging. And if I decrease the level curve and you activate Exp. Share its going to be too easy.

Second, I wanted to make Gym Leaders more special than in the original game, where they were as challenging as ordinary trainers. That's why their level was increased and their teams made stronger.

And finally, for the other trainers, if their level is increased, you gain more exp points, so the whole level curve needs to be even higher, and elite 4 at the 2nd round are already in the 90s, so it's not possible :)

First off, You should probably just plain state then that the EXP All is required for the level curve. Either have required or don't use it, Having this in the middle line of thinking is just not fun to dance around, especially for players who don't like the EXP All.

Secondly, the last part is just plain wrong. Many Hacks (such as Drayanos) have shown you can have trainers and the level curve be much closer to bosses and it changes nothing about them. It just simply makes the base trainers cakewalks and leads to the game being repetitive with random huge level spikes on Bosses. I'd rather the difficulty come from needing to know how to counter types, then being blindsided by Level Spikes. Pretty sure that's most players.

Thirdly, it makes no sense when (pardon my language) Misty and Lt Surge are piss easy, So the curve is inconsistent on top of it.

Most people use Exp. Share, but I will still add this recommendation. Keep in mind that if you also decide not to battle all the trainers you will also find yourself at a lower level compared to Gym Leaders.

I chose to keep the opposing trainers at a level that is not too low, Ichose to keep all the Vanilla trainers, and I chose to not implement a level cap. I then adjusted the level curve in order to have Gym Leaders at the same level as you (not more) and make it a fair battle. The level curve is consistent if you use Exp. Share and battle all trainers.

Anyway, I will ask around about the level curve and adjust it if needed.

You get the Exp. Share after Lt Surge's badge, that's why you found a difference with the rest.
