By "Motherly Trio", I mean Kasumi, Haruka, and Hikari (Misty, May, and Dawn):
Misty had Togepi who looked just adorable together.
May had Manaphy, and they had the best chemistry and love I had ever seen in Pokemon, even the manga didn't have this type of chemistry.
Dawn has Piplup, who also both have great chemistry.
And then there's the father figure Takeshi (Brock) who had Bonsly (I know it's a Sudowoodo now) who was a baby at the time, he was the same as Misty when it came to taking care of babies, great at it.

But, yes, I agree, she had more personality than the other two. Interesting fact - A life-sized barbie would be so out of proportion due to its chest that it would be unable to stay upright. *looks at may* errrrr.....

I think May will always be my favorite out of the three, although Dawn is becoming a close second~
Anyway, I really loved Misty's relationship with Togepi. Mainly because I like Togepi more than Piplup or Manaphy.

P.S. What I said about Haruka wasn't favoritism, Misty/Kasumi will always be my favorite.

Misty is the most like a mother. She was a bit bratty and very much a tsundere pre-togepi. But she actually developed a little more as a charecter because of the annoying little egg pokemon. May and Dawn have both grown up alot (Hey Haruka isn't the princess of Houen and essentially a top coordinator for nothing), but I wouldn't call either of them motherly. Not to say they aren't great charecters. I mean with Misty she is like any mom, she is a bit immature until she needs something to be mature for.

Do you not like it when characters have good characterization? Misty's short fuse was a good contribution to the show. May was not always sweet and helpful... which is good. Dawn isn't either. In fact, Dawn has had depression problems. These are all good things for a character to have! It makes it more realistic!

Actually, she did have that kind heart long before Togepi came into the picture (Her reactions to Pikachu being near death after Fishing Ash and Pikachu out in their first encounter, her treatment of Mikey, as well as her role as a nurse during "A Chansey Operation" say's "Hi"). All Togepi did was just expand it (Not that it was much of an expansion since her temper was still very much there, even during Johto.).

Actually, Jessie seemed to fit the Tsundere persona than Misty did, frankly. Misty did have that temper, but then again, Jessie seemed like she could explode at any minute.

Personally, I think Misty was the better mom of the three. I mean, at least when Togepi is in danger, she tries to find it and help it. May, she pretty much acted like a coward, and abandoned it to Phantom (and didn't even ATTEMPT to save it, not to mention) in the Climax of the 9th movie. As for Dawn, she hasn't even become a mom yet [No egg that she raised].

@Tsukasa-sama: Personally, I don't want to be in a fight, but since you asked for it...

Even IF Misty was "rude" (which personally, she wasn't rude, at least, not THAT rude), it's still better than how May and Dawn act (which, personally, seemed no different to how they portray girls in terms of behavior in Love Hina [I mean, for goodness sakes, Dawn even resembles Kanako Urashima!])

Jorah: totally agree with you! Brock's the biggest whore out of all of them. And let's bear in mind that Dawn and May are/were 10, bit young to be a whore, I think.

Anyway, back on topic. I think I prefer Misty the most. She's the only one with a good character. May was the daughter of a gym leader, and Dawn was the daughter of a Top Co-Ordinator. Misty WAS a gym leader. Can't get much more BAMF than that!

Well, in regards to Ash, you have to admit, he did kinda deserve it (I mean, look, no one should brag about an accomplishment, even if it's his first year.). Besides, Brock kinda was mean to Ash as well (In the "Mystery of the Lighthouse" episode where Ash was bragging about his accomplishments, Brock kinda also joined Misty's side in the arguement.), so don't assume that Misty was the only one who was mean, anyways.

You know, I pretty much hated Brock for that, so yeah, he's kinda a pimp. However, May and Dawn, regardless of what anyone says, still reminds me of the Girls in LH for their behavior (and, just FYI, I absolutely HATE LH for their depiction on females).

I think I can see why they call Dawn a "whore", her skirt, it's VERY short, gaining her a large portion of the male popularity count, not including me, not that I don't like her, I love the motherly trio.
