Terrible winged lion, I messed up the wings Dx - The PokéCommunity Forums

The biggest issue I see is the positioning of the head, front legs along with the size of the mane makes it look neckless.

I'm gonna give a real critique now. I'm sorry if anything comes by as offensive... (Same with all of the other critiques)

The face has some good structure, The mouth looks a mite awkward though. Not round of enough if the thought the springs into my head when I ask why. Again, the placement of the front legs, the length and area of the mane and the sudden thickness gives the look of no neck... The best way I have found to remedy this problem is to draw it without the mane and then just texture it in later, ya know? It helps you figure everything out when you save the mane for last. I tend to have neck length issues too when I draw the mane in immediately. Haha

And the wings aren't messed up too badly, except maybe where they join the body. Again, just looks kind of awkward, ya know?

I can see potential in this piece though. can't emphasize that enough.

Yeah, I got a friend to red-line it (going back over my picture, putting red lines where I should have drawn and adding notes and stuff to help xD)
