I'm waiting until the Dub releases the episode to watch them (and even there, only online, and I'm making those episodes an exception to my current Disney boycott. Let's just say Disney made a BIG mistake regarding Star vs. the Forces of Evil and the Live Action Remake of Beauty and the Beast, the latter regarding LeFou.).
And yeah, here's hoping as well, especially if they actually HAVE Misty keep her goal for keeps, no longer HAVE to return to the gym thanks to her sisters. Honestly, AG ruined the gym leader profession by making them wimps, and DP and BW weren't much better (the former only regained their competence by making Ash and Pikachu look bad, and the latter's even worse due to a mixture of AG's fault of having them lose like JJM, and making Ash look retarded and weak a'la DP regarding the latter category). Good thing they brought in the Mega Gyarados bit.
Another good thing about those two episodes is that they now have Ash back on track to focusing on his goal. Honestly, the whole school plotline was a mistake, forcing him out of his dream of becoming a Pokémon Master.
