I saw your thread... You can use JIPS on Mac, it works quite well I find.
Since it's Java, it works on Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX. I cannot recall how to associate a jar file with Java in Mac though, so you might only have to double-click it to use it, but if not, you may have to open a terminal and type "java -jar " (The last space is important..!) and drag the JIPS jar file onto the terminal. and hit [Enter].
You can find your Terminal in Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
