What do you use to host files?

I've been using Megasync for the better half of the last decade or so. Has good browser integration for all the operating systems and file managers that I use, so that's the main reason I've kept using their service. I am hoping to build my own server soon and run a self hosted instance of...

Where do you put your taskbar?

I've been using the free version of Winstep Nexus. It's the closest thing that I can get to a Windows equivalent to my Linux docks: Plank and Latte.

What Are Your Favourite Website Extensions?

I've never been a fan of DDG or SearX. The interfaces are a bit dated and never really to my liking. SP is essentially what I wish Google offered. It also gets Google results which I usually prefer. I will occasionally use the other 2 though.

Where do you put your taskbar?

All of mine go to the top of my screen regardless of OS. I have a dock at the bottom also regardless of OS.

    Your First Cellphone

Ooh, boy. I believe my first one was a Nokia 3310, but I also had a Motorola Razr back in the day as well. Several phones later, I got an iPhone 4 as my first smart phone and even later that that, a OnePlus 6 as my first Android phone.

    two questions

Day-ta. Anything else is heresy. I generally bounce between pro-cessor and praw(h)-cessor. Depends on how bad I've picked up a British/Canadian accent that day. I do believe it is a long A for the first and a short O for the second. If that helps any.

    Zoom

I use Discord for quite a lot of my online chatting. I also use it for a bit of screen sharing/voice calls. I've moved most of that over to Wire though (especially since the team that requires that is a Linux distro team, and I would rather keep things as FOSS as possible). I've been using...

    Zoom

I had never heard of it. I don't have to use it, and I'm quite happy I don't have to. I'm sure it's not that bad in the end, but I do have some personal issues with the application and platform. I've been using Wire to initiate video/screen sharing meetings for my Linux distro team, and we've...

Whatever screen size OnePlus is selling.

how seriously do you take your data privacy?

Yeah. I have to VPN into my university department's network when I need access to my data on their servers. Really helpful when working from home. From what I can tell, the new common "privacy" use for VPNs seems to be masking the user's IP address. Not entirely certain if that's the goal...

how seriously do you take your data privacy?

I have nothing to hide as well sans my access to email accounts. Had a few accounts stolen over the year. This was while using proper password creation and still being privacy minded. I've had my bank account hacked before as well. My wife's desk/table in our office was not purchased by us...

how seriously do you take your data privacy?

I'm fully aware that my data is being used somehow, but I still make an active effort to mitigate the degree to which it's being harvested. I have create a sandboxed email accounts if I need access to platforms that are known for data harvesting. This way, they aren't tied to any personal...
