You have to beat the league before that cave appears and then you need to do some battle frontier stuff before that cave spawns the fossils, so Aerodactyl is more like a after league thing along with Kabuto and Omanyte.

No problem at all. No, there are no Mega Evolutions in this hack. Best way to think of this is Vanilla Emerald with a lot of options and a lot of QOL features. All of the pokemon in Emerald (plus 40 extra).

No idea whether anyone has given this idea yet, but maybe once the main scope of this hack has been developed, you could think about following Pokemon? That would be pretty sweet.
