I've been resetting around Viridian Forest multiple times but I still can't get a Pikachu. Sometimes, it shows an empty spot on the monitor that shows what Pokemon appears. Could that be a Pikachu but it's a bit of a glitch?

However, I been thinking that what if this isn't a remake. What if this takes place between XY and SM, where Ash sees Ho-oh, and he's only wearing the outfit for nostalgia sake?

Sure looks like it. From what I hear, Ash gets to meet Ho-oh. I just hope it is a remaster of the first series, but using some plot ideas that was originally attended in the original, like Ash winning the League, for example.

With the new Pokemon the Movie coming out, we might see her again. I can't wait for that movie!

Falkner as a replacement for Brock. Jasmine for Misty.
