Hey there. I just wanted to stop by once more and cheer you on. I am very excited for this ROM hack and it looks fantastic so far. You're doing Arceus's work. Keep it up.
Metal Coat does get used up once you evolve a Pok?mon with it. Give the Pok?mon the Metal Coat to hold level up, and then it evolves-- the item is then consumed afterwards.
I won't be catching a Scyther until tomorrow so I don't immediately need it anyways.
Oh, well if Alola forms ARE in the game (in which a previously translated article mentions), and they aren't endgame, I would use A-Sandslash over Rhydon.
If I decide to get this game, I'm just gonna go for type balance.
Eevee (Normal)
Venusaur (Grass/Poison)
Ninetales (Fire)
Vaporeon (Water)
Clefable (Fairy)
Rhydon (Rock/Ground)

I'm a simple man. I see Riolu in a GBC hack, I like. Where do you find it by the way? I've only encountered it via trainers.
EDIT: Okay so I found it. You have to trade Tangela for it near Fuchsia City. Kind of hoped I could have one under my OT so I can nickname it myself, but so be it. Who...
I'd like to share my thoughts. Keep in mind that these are merely my opinions and you are free to ignore them.
Bulbasaur - I would recommend Ground-Typing so that it differentiates from your Charmander and gains access to STAB Ground for Steel-Types.
Charmander - I agree with this, but not...
Remoraid and Octillery are based on two aquatic animals that fire projectiles for survival. Despite its name, Remoraid is moreso tied to the Archerfish, which fire spurts of water. Octopuses fire ink, of course. They are also both based on two different types of weapons- a revolver and a cannon...
