For my favorite, I’d say it’s a toss up between 5, 7 and 9. As for least favorite, though Diamond and Pearl are my least favorite games, I’d say 1 is my least favorite generation.

Sinnoh’s soundtrack is generally pretty good and quite a few new evolutions have some Johto mons needed buffs.

I think Kanto, Hoenn, Unova and Galar are my top favorites. Kanto and Hoenn have good melodies, whereas Unova and Galar’s musical changes help make the battles more immersive.

I got a new one: I don’t think Rescue Team DX’s changes to Friend Areas made them worse. Sure the charm of seeing your Pokémon walk around isn’t there, but gameplay wise they are a lot more convenient to go through. Plus they allow you recruit a lot more Pokémon than the originals did.

Probably gen 2. A lot of them were pretty eh and needed something else from another gen to stand out. That being said there’s still Pokémon I like in gen 2. There isn’t really a roster I outright dislike as a whole.

Either Lunala or Koraidon. I’ve always like bats, ghost types, and celestial designs, so Lunala was a home run for me. However playing through Scarlet really made me bind with Koraidon, it’s just a big sandwich loving dino dork.
