If it works for you then that's great, I just don't have experience with the app myself and I know it can have a ton of issues so that's usually what I end up telling people.

1.1 saves are not compatible with the newer versions, which shouldn't be that big of a deal since 1.1 is a year and a half old and the game has changed drastically since then.

Download this patch and apply it to the game, then once the battle is over reapply the newest patch. I know it sounds dumb, but this is a bug that only a few players have experience and I haven't been able to replicate it on my side so finding a proper solution hasn't been easy...
