Rudy gave me HM whirpool and said me to go to route 9. There is no way from route 9 to other island.(forgot island's name)

So, i got bomfur. Is there a problem if i dont keep it in my team? I mean will there be a small cutscene of bomfur in future, like we had a cutscene of pikachu when we get the power toll from blue.

Is there a sequence of keeping pokemons in our team? Cause when i entered the cave to defeat mewtwo only 5 of my pokemon came out. If there's a sequence which pokemon should i remove for keeping Bomfur? Thanks for replying.
