Fighting is "Eh" to me. It's good, but I don't like to use it. For a Psychic, DEFINITELY go with Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam. If you must have a fighting, go with Machop/Machoke/Machamp. Again with the "meh".

I like Leaf Green better. Bellsprout > Oddish IMO It may not be as good, but I like it more.

If your starter Pokemon is shiny, would it display this when you are choosing your pokemon (when you press A on the Pokeball to see what's in it), or do you have to wait until battle?
