You can get Dunsparce in dark cave (with a LOT of patience), and I'm sure you can get Jigglypuff on route 46 in the mornings on Gold and Silver. You can get Leyba on route 30 as well in the morning. Oh, and Unown of course.

Miracleberry or leftovers. I'd also be tempted to put a Mint Berry on Lapras rather than Miracleberry - rest will cure any statuses you get, and a Mint Berry won't get triggered by a random paralysis/burn/poison, meaning that you are basically guaranteed a one turn rest.

Alakazam doesn't need a Quick Claw, it's fast enough to strike first normally. Give it to someone slow like Steelix.

For Dragonite: Curse Rest Extremespeed Wing Attack This one works well, as Extremespeed works around the speed drops from Curse. Rest for recovery, possibly keep a good supply of Mint Berries to use as held items for one turn recovery. For Poliwrath: Surf Submission/Dynamicpunch Strength/Body...

Actually, you can trade eggs, I just tested it. However, you can't trade eggs if the person receiving the egg is trading away the only pokemon in their team, because you can't have a team that is just eggs.

I'd choose Starmie, as it has so much in the way of variety for moves. Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Psychic, Surf, Recover etc... Kingler doesn't have enough physical attacks to back up its good attack stat, which is unfortunate. Golduck, Lapras and Slowbro are all useful, but Starmie is probably...
