Yea when I was younger that would be the only way to level up my pokemon. But now I just mainly use it to get master balls to try and get 150 pokemon only cause I'm to lazy to weaken them. Also I love the satisfaction of leveling my first pokemon up to 100 without using the glitch.

It happens. More so in the Safari Zone than anywhere else. The only thing I can tell you is to keep trying.

Alright now that I'm done with the R/B monotype challenge I'm gonna start on this one.

I'm gonna have to go with either Donphan or Houndoom. Not sure why but I've always liked them. Legendaries: Uhh it would have to be Lugia definitely.

I was around 6 or 7 when I started playin. I started with Red and that's really the only one I play anymore.

So did/does anyone use the different guides for R/B/Y? And if so which one? I do all the time. I use the Versus Books one mainly because they seem to get a little more personal and give better information than the others.

Alright Update #2: Grinded till Pikachu got to level 19. Barely beat Brock. Shot through Mt.Moon. Killed Blue and Nugget Bridge. Got to Bills easily. Destroyed Misty with level 27 Pikachu. Dropped Pika2 off at daycare. (Got to lazy to level him.) Working my way to S.S.Anne. Pikachu: Level 29...

My first run through of silver I did. Used it all the way until after the E4 then got bored and threw it into the box. I've never even hatched it anytime after that.

This is what I usually do. If your lucky enough to have eggs with say the starters then you don't really have to worry because you pretty much have an unlimited supply of them.

Hey quick change of plans. My gold isn't working for some reason so I'm gonna go ahead and switch over to crystal, still a fire playthrough.

Uhh personally I would go back to Rt. 29 and go up to Rt. 46 in the morning and catch a Phanpy. It's a little bit of a back track but I think its worth it and if you level it up from lv. 2 or 3 you'll have an extremely strong Donphan. On a side note you can't catch Mareeps on Rt. 32 anyway.
