That's weird, as I went to the monastery, and talked to everyone and visited every building and they told me nothing useful

how do i fight the aerodactyl in the desert? Whenever I get close it tells me some powerful magic is near and I should leave or something. I've visited the monastery and got nothing to help me there.

The game starts to run fine but it resets after Oak asks me if I'm a boy or girl. I know it isn't my copy of fire red as it runs fine on its own. The way I've used Lunar IPS to patch the hack onto fire red is correct, as it worked for other hacks too. Whats going on?
