I've always like cubone. They're weak and deppressed as a child, then when they evolve, they become stronger and more aggresive. I felt I was weak at one point and boxing made me stronger and more confident.

I don't really plan aead. For my in-game team, I don't crunch numbers, EV train, or breed for perfection. I just catch what I like and use it. I usually go for the starter I like best, then catch a type opposite to my starter, I try to catch a good pokemon at start. Like lillipup. And use...

Mudkip. I've always been a fan of Water types but when I got my mudkip in Emerald, I was in love at first sight. I used him all through emerald, then when I got Platinum, transfered a new mudkip over to Plt and used him through out. Him and muchlax.

Nope, I always stuck with what I chose. In all honesty, only in R/S/E did I ever become attatched with the stater. I usually become with another Pokemon instead. In my current case, Simisear. I'll always use my starter but it's never anything special to me.
