Can't you use your Water type starter as a HM slave for these moves ? That's what I've been doing and it work nicely ^^ (or if you're using it in your challenge, can't you catch a pokémon who can learn these moves ?)

I thought of a moveset for Ambipom using Technician with Covet and the Normal Gem, so you can then steal the opponent's item. It can also exploit the gimmicky Fake Out + Last Resort Combo, although you need to KO any Ghost / physical wall in the opposing team. Maybe my ideas are crap, I'm not...

Torkoal. It is a very underrated pokémon which really need some attention to become a very nice physical wall, maybe a double type to have more resistances/recieve neutral damage to Stealth Rock ? Maybe an ability to let it tank more attacks (filter, regenerator) ? Or maybe more power ?
