I'm super hyped for these games mainly due to the graphics. I like the chibi-like graphics they are imho a better fit for Pokemon games. Might be nostalgic bias as for me the GB-GBA is the golden era of Pokemon. I'm also a fan of Zelda but I tend to only buy the games with chibi-like graphics.

Any particular reason why you don't trust Pokemon Home? I find storage via home is much safer especially now save files get stored on the console itself instead of on the cart like pre-switch games. My sons Switch Lite actually had power issues [not his fault] and here in the UK the repair...

I'm going to get Brilliant Diamond on release. I'll get it as a digital download so my son can play too on his switch. I'll get Shinning Pearl digital afterwards probably around Christmas time but I'll also get them both on hard copy also at some point.

I would recommend learning about IVs and EVs to start once you understand them learn how to breed perfect IV Pokemon.
