2020- I played Pokémon Yellow and after catching a Growlithe I was horrified to learn that ROAR was not designed to be an in battle move. I taught my Growlithe 'Substitute, Rest, Dig & Flamethrower.' Thinking about it, it took so long to find the lowest level available Growlithe and catch it without any member of my team fleeing from battle that I decided Growlithe was a much cooler Pokémon. I actually like this game design from the 1st.GEN.
