Your game has great potential, Oliver (may I simply call you that?) but, alas I have some gripes with the visuals. -The absence of new tiles are definitely understandable. This game is just barely getting on its feet. -I saw someone mention the shadow differences for Eben and Ivy's OW sprites...

You could possibly be using a bad version. Check Wichu's sig for the most updated version. OR If you have the most recent version, wait about 30 seconds after you save to close the game. I think the save option just triggers the script to save. (I may be wrong on this. Don't quote me on it)
