Patch to a clean red rom Your save file will not be affected. This same save file will work for any pomemon red based game, try loading it up with another romhack like Team Rocket Edition to see. Edit - Also, make sure you actually load up from an in-game save. Using a savestate when...

Anyone here know if pokemon movesets were edited? A lot of pokemon were hard to use because they had hardly any moves. Koffing, for example - Until he turned to Weezing at like 30, he wouldn't learn a single attack other than his starting Smog and Sludge right before evolving
