Hey Aiden! It has been a while, hope you've been well!

Life's been pretty busy for me lately! I've had three job interviews during the last week or so and looking at new places to live with my fiancé.

Yes, I quit my job back in...oh august/september because of stress, so yeah it's been my only source of income. I've been able to get this far in terms of my personal bills because I live at home so no rent/groceries etc. and I saved a lot before leaving. But yeah, commissions are variable.

The first game I did was through a middle man, so I just made from a list of assets and they were sort of a publisher so this game would be eventually published. (but def a small place.)
The second is just an independent person who wanted updated graphics for a game he's made already and just paid out of pocket. Basically, I go through game job reddits so it's mostly independent devs. Which means not like...the best pay but it's something so far.

It's going ok! I'm not getting as many I should for bills, but I've been doing pixel art for games, so that's something kinda new and interesting!

I've been pretty good! I had a rough patch of health problems from february to april, but it's been better now. I've just been a busy bee trying to do commission work and get some fun events going for A&D. : D

for the record, I don't talk out of my ass when I make claims like these. I actually test the waters first (or make observations, one or the other), and then develop opinions from that point forward. I'd really appreciate it if you were just more receptive instead of being aggressive.

You need to stop getting defensive. I'm not insulting your section, or anything of that sort. I think photography can use some more exposure, and that's from my perspective of it. If you see things differently, that is fine, but that is no reason to act in such a manner towards any user who's points out something that is different from the way you see things.

I dont "sit around and tell you how your own section acts", I point out how one facet of art can use a bit more exposure in the section. From my own experience, I don't see photography getting a "lot" of "encouragement and support" as I posted my own gallery and it seemed like no one really cared, and apparently not even you noticed that I posted one.

Before you rush into rash conclusions and act so defensive over what isnt a super huge deal, try being a bit more rational about things first. I'm not trying to step on your toes, I'm not sure what gave you that impression.
