Usually I find it isn't specific places, its a lot of patience. Like, I'm overlevelled in my current playthrough of heartgold, as you call it, just because I spent so long in a specific place looking for a specific pokemon.

I also subscribe to double team and minimise to the worst moves. My favorite moves would be flamethrower, blast burn, ice beam, aqua jet, aura sphere.

Thanks very much :) I especially like fire types, I'm on my second black 2 playthrough with an entirely fire type team apart from samurott. My favoruite games overrall were heartgold/soulsilver. And I'm fairly into the TCG as well.
