I found that you didn't have to beat PBR to enter the codes. I haven't gotten very far through the game and it accepted the two codes. Looking in antoher thread here, the problem might be that the codes may only work on the NTSC version of the game and not in the PAL version of the game...

I can safely say...these codes work. I just did them this weekend on my Wii and I've got both Pokemon imported into Diamond now. As Jack says, you do need to put the dashes in between the groupings of characters. If I remember, you get the dash from either the symbol set or it is in with WXYZ group.

Goody. That'll teach me to buy stuff on eBay. :( I was sort of afraid that might be the problem. *Sigh* The cartridge is a clearish-blue color and has the Nintendo logo stamped on the back. Any way to tell if it is a non-legit cartridge?
