I've used the Onix in GS multiple times although it has never kept it spot on the team for long. I have good memories of the Steelix in XY though - its nickname was mediocre but since there had always been a lack of Steelix in my life, I was happy to finally use one in-game.

I've used it once in Sinnoh and once in Johto, both times are years ago. I don't recall it being that underwhelming, to be honest. Its stats aren't horrible for non-competitive use. I remember all the flinching it caused with Stomp was what I liked about it the most.
