Well now I feel pretty dumb. Suppose I should've poked around a bit more before jumping here to ask. Thanks.
Out of curiosity do you have any experience with using moving battlers? If so, which have you found to be more useful, GIFs or in-game animations? I'm thinking in-game but like I said...
You'll have to forgive my ignorance, I'm fairly new to Pokemon Essentials and RPG Maker XP but I've got a question about where exactly the battle scene is set up in the scripts.
I'm wanting to make Super Robot Wars styled combat animations. However I'm not entirely sure where the battle scene...
I just installed RPG Maker XP and installed Pokemon Essentials V16 and as soon as I try to start the game (or the editor) I get a NameError. Specifically this one:
The above error occurs whenever I start the game and hit enter on the title screen. A similar error occurs simply by trying to...
After following DavidJCobb's Item Image Editing section of his Item Creation Tutorial (https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/258426) to the T, I can't figure out where I'm going wrong.
Whenever I view my image after inserting it with NSE it looks like this:
However, if I flip the image it...
Using unLZ.GBA I've located a few of the Menu sprites, however I'm missing quite a few of them. I've only seen ones at 61, 303, 304, 351, 352, 413, and 573 through 580. I'm really looking for the Pause Menu sprites.
Ah it works. It's just my PC was being a ♥♥♥♥ last night and not playing sounds. Thank you!
EDIT: OK so I've got the sounds located and marked down, now it's just a question of converting this WAV to a MIDI file.
Huh. I can't adjust the song number, which I assume is the index number. Anytime I set it below 256, the healing song, it just resets to 256 or above.
If it makes any difference I'm using Galooloo's sappy.xml because attempting to load Fire Red just caused Sappy to crash, I have no idea why.
Pretty much as the title says. How would one go about replacing the Menu sound effects?
Things like when you open/close your bag and so on.
I know how to replace Pokemon Cries using Sappy and such, but I don't know where the menu sounds are stored or even how I'd edit them.
Ah. I appreciate the response, I was really hoping they'd have more than one map since they're considered a ROM base. I figured it'd be a basis for a ROM hack or such. Oh well. I like the maps that are shown, I was quite interested in a whole world of such design.
Guess it's back to the...
OK I'm gonna be incredibly newbie to ROM hacking here but, with these ROM bases do they contain entirely new maps or just a handful of them?
And have they been used for any other ROM hacks or are they completely unused concepts?
lol, I like all the idea's I'm hearing. And technically they could still happen because Nintendo could issue some update to the game over the WFC but will they? No, obviously they arent intelligent enough, I mean they're charging more for they're hand held than for their console.
