i love gen 5's visuals, i'm sooo crazy about the 3d/2d blend thing and it does it sooo beautifully. gen 4 too, especially hgss. theyre both super atmospheric. i imagine bw and hgss were probably being made at the same time by the same people and they did suuuch a good job

i like them, i think there's enough rodents in the world and electric is cool enough of a type that they can be pretty fun and unique.

i agree that most of the designs are alright in the 2d art but the models just look suuuuuper bad. some of the designs are still really lacking either way though, there are certain ones you can tell were designed in 3D instead of 2D and it definitely has a negative effect for me. i disliked some...

i don't think theyre going to be particularly worse than any other pokemon game, legends arceus was really fun so this one probably will be too. but i reaaalllly dislike the art direction this gen and the designs and world are mostly what i like pokemon for.. sooo....

when i was younger i always thought aipom was at least gen 4 but it's gen 2.. i think a lot of gen 2 pokemon look way newer
