Unfortunately it's a limitation of RPG Maker/Pokemon Essentials (I'm not sure which, but I believe it's Essentials), because it doesn't easily scale up to different resolutions. Oh yeah, and this game is still awesome.

That fully explains that, I followed the link earlier in the thread to the 2.0 download without knowing there was a patch. I'll update it and check it out soon.

OK, already found a problem in the 2.0 beta. In the stable demo I had completed the available content, meeting with Professor Oak on Route 10 and getting his shiny egg. After walking around a lot and hatching the egg, I went back up to Route 9 to rematch some trainers and discovered that A)...

I've been doing some save scumming to see what I can get from the egg at the end of the 1.7 demo. I think I finally got someone I want to keep: https://imgur.com/HRwC5xD Now, on to testing 2.0. :D

Thank you for dropping in to help us figure out the error! I am not really familiar with the technical aspects of RPGMaker games, but I'm assuming this news means I'll have to wait for a future patch before I can play the game properly. I'll just be excitedly waiting then. :)

This thread is labeled with a large yellow graphic before the title, which says "DEMO." If you look at the initial post, it lists the version number as 0.753. Typically versions below 1.0 are beta or unfinished. Please, next time you have a question, take a moment to just LOOK at the thread...

After I made my post, the audio idea occurred to me as well, but it doesn't make any difference. If I have the chance, I will try a second computer this weekend to see if the results are the same. This PC has never given me any unusual behavior, but you never know...
