Twilightmenu++ on the 3ds would that have an effect on the rom i havent had an issue like that with any other rom

I have that was my first thought so i went and downloaded another 1.0 and i still ended up with this problem

I've just started playing the rom hack and i get to the first fight with nidoran and the screen goes black the music still plays but i can't do anything thinking that it may have been somthing i did wrong with the patching i deleted it reinstalled it and patched it again with the same issue...
