A lot of walkthroughs are about older betas, a lot has changed. Are you sure you're not standing on the HM? It should be right before the rocks. Then a cutscene should start
Are you sure you used a clean rombase?
You can use a red orb to evolve Groudon to primal Groudon so he might have given it like dragonscale can be found on some Horsea for example
It used to be available at Celadon Dept. store, not sure if it still is in B10.C but if not, check the orange...
It's not mandatory so you could just skip it, but what's the bug exactly? and a picture often helps a great deal in locating the problem for Aethestode
I believe Pika can evolve to both Raichu and mega-pika (X/Y). Haunter used to evolve by using the item link cable like Onix but he changed into Link Stone or level I don't know exactly in Haunters case :)
You're playing B10.A, it was fixed for B10.B and now we're at B10.C
I would just repatch with the 10.C, then (almost) everything should be working fine but if you don't want to, the old mans sidequest is really not important so you can just skip it.

I don't know if there is a when restriction but yes you can mega evolve. Although they work as a regular evolution stone, they are reversible (I think by the use of a moonstone). If you want to know which mega evolution you best use the search this thread option with the word kanghaskan jr.
In...
Love the final beta aethestode, great work even with the problems :)
Are you gonna include more info about the branch evo's? You stated them but you didn't say anything about their requirements. Maybe some of the other users on this topic found some of them? For example Kangaskid evolved at...
There is no promise that the beta testers are gonna find all problems, so final beta A is the beta after they tested it, when a lot more people play it. Some other small errors/problems might pop-up so he hopes to fix those for the final version: final beta B
I think that's what he means...
24th of July (if I remember correctly but check a few pages back), that's when Beta-tester's can apply for, well let's be honest, not very long as there will be a lot of volunteers ;)
Does this mean evolving Eevee is final? Or will it be exactly as in the manga: jolteon, vaporeon and flareon can be reversed but the rest are permanent?
Just take your time, it's not that hard when you take your time but it can indeed be pretty frustrating. If it's the same one that gets you...
