Mostly, but sometimes I pick a starter that I like unevolved but I start to dislike when its evolved (ex. Turtwig to Torterra), but after a while I know which one I like overall.

I usually catch the remaining legendaries and finish as much of the pokedex as I can before the next game. I also level up my team of my favorite pokemon (at the time).

You could decrease the amount of exp. to level up when you get into higher levels, when you pretty much have to grind for hours if you want to get your pokemon to 100. Also, you could program the wild and maybe trainer pokemon to be around same level as yours so you can battle pokemon that...

It is extremely highly likely that we can make most pokemon in the somewhat near future but unlikely that we will actually create them (aside from futuristic Japanese zoos and insane, rich pokemon fans) due to the cost versus the functionality. So far this sounds like a great idea. Maybe in a radioactive area have a three eyed magikarp or goldeen in a polluted lake (Referencing the Simpsons). And if you want to go one step further have the trainer use that Pokemon to get the factory (run by Team Unity) shutdown.
