Finally finished my play through of black. No shinies there yet but ive started hatching pignite eggs since I got my hands on a Japanese ditto. Hopefully this won't take too long but we will see.
Who uses their starters anyway?
So ive been lurking around and I havent seen it soooo, who actually uses their starters throughout the game/metagame and why?
I know that I grow attached to mine and generally keep it by my side unless its stats hold me back. I was upset that I had to PC my...
I do agree though that unova had a pretty good selection of Pokemon. Even some with crazy stats and typing. But maybe its because im getting older and sentimental/hardheaded but ill stick with Gens 1-3 as far as the majority of my team.
Choosing a starter in this generation was harder for me then it ever has been. I really like snivy and his evolution chain. I loved that emboar was fire/fighting and samaurott just looks so cool. I ended up with emboar and since I have yet to use the other two and havent been let down by mine...
Well I finally ended my playthrough of black and the only early generation Pokemon on my team was tyranitar. The post game is getting pretty lame and I havent really grown attached to anything from this generation yet. Id like to train earlier gen Pokemon (gen 3 and gen 1) but im just too lazy...

Im currently in love with my sword dance excadrill. I've always been a primarily offensive battler and his stat spread and typing work very well for me. I like gigaliths sprite but excadrill takes it.
Grinding away in victory road. Got a level 1 larvitar in a trade, leveled him up to level 55 (in one sitting) also caught an axure and a male and female excadrill for some breeding later on. Somewhat concerned about my current team against the e4 so ill continue to grind till im confident.
Edit...
I was just talking about this yesterday. I think that hard should definitely have ev and iv trained Pokemon. Maybe not every trainer but most of them. I also think it should have some kind of item restriction too. Maybe no non-hold heal items in battle or something.
Ill join!!
Not sure if you guys have caught them yet but I've got myself a shiny tentacool/tentacruel and a shiny zubat.
Currently hunting fifth gen shinies on black.
Random question; what methods do you use to encounter shinies? Do you stay on a single route or hunt all the areas where your...
