Have you started the Abandon gym bonus chapter? You need to go to Vermillion city's gym first and pick up the urn with Pikachu's ashes, then you can proceed with the tombstone.

I´m not sure in beta 15, but in 14 you could rematch some trainers. The ones at the Victory Road, as long as you didn't go to the league itself. I used to grind in there to level up and gain more money.

Of course it requires a PC, are you planning to do it in a calculator?
