i've even heard that shiny's are weaker than non-shiny's. is this true?

alright cool, thanks guys. i've never known about ev's and iv's before coming here. but it seems to make a huge difference. and i think i read somewhere in another thread, that if you breed enough it does something to the ev where it won't badly effect the training? i'm still kind of confused =/

well my mom works at Hasbro, and they picked up Pokemon when it hit the US. my brother and i did some toy testing for certain things. and we got to try out the games before they came out =D i was instantly addicted.

oh ok thanks MCD =D one more question; is the Elite 4 a bad place to train? because i'll play for like three hours just facing them and exp sharing my Pokemon.

yea it def involves more skill. and probably encourages players to use not so popular Pokemon.

when Pokemon evolve, do they level up stronger? i used a gameshark to get Umbreon and Espeon at a low level. and then trained them up normally. but will they be stronger if i breed eevee's over and over again and then just let them evolve naturally?

i beat the elite 4 with a level 65 Charizard. all the other Pokemon in my party were at like 17 or 18. all you have to do is bring lot's of revives and full restores. it's such an easy battle that way. ITEMS ARE KEY! =D

yea that was def a bad call by them. it should have been atleast level 50. but i think they made it that way, so little kids wouldn't get crushed by a mewtwo against their level 27 Wartortle lol

unless you really really really want a shiny, i would say don't even bother. it's already taking me weeks to get a shiny Gastly. it will probably take you even longer because you have to reset and try again over and over. this is like the fourth shiny thread lol

i've been searching for my Shiny Gastly for a few weeks now. i've easily seen atleast three thousand Gastly's come up un-shiny. i have sixty thousand plus more times to go =/ it's all about LUCK! ;D

hmmm ok. the only time i use gameshark is for the Pokemon Modifier, so i can make just one kind of Pokemon come out. it's kind of weird that of all Pokemon, only Mew and Deoxy's can't be traded. all my others were traded fine.

i use my level 100 Marowak's False Swipe. it usually takes two hits to get a rare down to 1 hp, and only one hit for regulars.

i've already gotten that lol. Mew and Deoxy's are the only Pokemon it won't let me trade. i traded my Groudon and Mewtwo and all my others from Sapphire to Fire Red, except those two. i don't understand =/
