Thank you. That cleared up things a bit. Now then, doesn't it also mean, that if I get a digital distribution version from one of those "mega cheap" stores like piratebay, I should still be able to play it out online like a original copy of the game?

Guys I've got a question. I'm wondering about 3ds for christmas. Tell me, if I get rom somewhere off the internets, patch it with this hack, will I be able to play online? Or do I need original, unchanged game to do that ?

I give up, wanted to try it out, but after trying 12 roms and always getting error rom/patch don't match I give up
