OK, that download works. However, the options STILL wont save properly. Everytime I change the Battle Animations to Disabled or Auto Followers to Disabled, the game basically goes 'Nah, I dont think so.'
My only other issue is the fact that I struggle to download the patch at times. I'll click the link in the front post, and my laptop is fairly old, so it's prone to crashing on the patcher screen.
It's Battle Scene 'Disable Animations'. I always set it to Disabled, and the scenes still play.
EDIT- OK, I think I know what's going on. I've been downloading the patch from the front page, and it says the version is 2.0.4.1 but a few posts back, someone mentioned 2.0.4.3
I've enjoyed this hack before, but my main issue with it, which I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, is that the option to Disable Battle Animations doesnt actually work.
Love the ROMhack to bits, and I am playing the 2.5 update, but there's a few things to mention.
First off, the Sage along the route for the Weather Institute makes the game reset if you talk to him before becoming Champ.
Second, it seems like Basculegion doesnt properly get registered in the...
I've tried the 2.5 beta update, and I gotta say- The game is much more difficult than ever now. Alot of really good Pokemon got nerfed by the removal of Egg Moves/Tutor Moves (no more Elemental Fangs for Mightyena) and more got nerfed with ability removal (No more Hyper Aggresive Lokix or Triage...
So I gave this hack a shot, and while I enjoy the idea behind it, my stopping point was Lavaridge Town's gym. I dont know whose idea it was to give that gym a time limit to reach the leader, but that feature needs to be removed. It's bad enough that the layout of the gym is different, but a time...
My only complaint about this hack (other than the MIND NUMBING difficulty) is the pause screen keeping track of Win/Loss. I dont wanna be reminded of how much I suck at a game.
Possible suggestion for next/future update- After either beating Silpho Co/Giovanni/Elite 4, a Team Star NPC shows up somewhere and allows you to change a Revaroom to one of the five Starmobile versions (once per day).
So I've given this ROM hack a shot, and I have to admit- It's not fun at all.
-The level caps are way too harsh. I mean, Lvl 12 as the first cap?
-No items in battle.
-Permanent Set mode.
-Attract working on Pokemon of the same gender.
-YOU GAVE MAGIKARP ACTUAL MOVES. WTF?!
Honestly, this ROM...
Update- So I managed to grind enough to be able to beat the Ariados Guardian. However, after going through as much of the game as I could, I was disappointed with the Gym Battle. That was just way too unfair.
