I could see TAPs taking care of starter Pokemon, but I think it would only happen if you didn't have a starter. We've seen lots of trainers that had Pidgey and Rattata as their first partner. So I think it really just depends on money. To be honest, I kind of doubt the "regional starters" would...

I am just about to enter Mt. Coronet from the Bike Ramp in Platinum, going into Heartrome I believe. Team: I don't have my DS on me but my team is Luxio and Staravia, both level 26 I believe. I'll be adding a Growlithe to the mix shortly, and hopefully a water type.

I think a starter would be a Pokemon given if you don't already have a Pokemon. But I also think to get the regional starters we're all framiliar with, it would actually cost something. In the games, the only time you ever see starters is when you receive one, your rival, and the random trainer...

I have to agree here with you, Cassino. I have always thought the idea of being a Pokemon Hunter, or a poacher would be an interesting career. Of course, no harm would be done to Pokemon. And I suppose at first I would have to do a little bit of training, and I probably would have some badges...
