I'm not a hardcore pokemon gamer, I started by watching the anime when it first came to the US but had no idea it was a game until Diamond/Pearl came out and I bought it because a friend told me to. I have played through Ruby but I don't own any pokemon games other than Diamond and White.
I think they are solid games and a good source of entertainment.
With White, I aim for high IVs but I hardly EV train and pick specific natures, I don't find that very fun. I've got a solid team that is currently under reconstruction.
With Diamond, I became too obsessed with the Legendaries- namely Dialga, Arceus, and Darkrai- and I neglected all my regular pokemon. I want to delete the game but I'm waiting until I have a chance to transfer a few pokemon to White before I do that.
