Oh. That is explained in the FAQ. Press Start -> Right Arrow -> DexNav. Then R to choose a Pokemon. Then in the wild you press R again to search for it.

After beating Brock, go in the direction of route 3 and the Prof. Aide will give you the DexNav :)

Shiny Odds = 1/512 without the Shiny Charm, 1/170 with the Shiny Charm Also, using the DexNav in a chain increases this chance.
