Well, i still have the intern save state, so i can still can catch Shinies whenever i want... Oh and Zel, I was wondering what if you traded a pokemon with a held TM from fire red, would this remain the same or change according to the *new* TM list, possible errors?

hmm, interesting...it seems ALL pokemon in Lake of Rage are Shiny, this includes wild magikarps and gyarados. Not that i'm complaining. XD *edit* : hmm, might just be my game, but afterwards visiting Lake of rage, any pokemon i encounter on any route is shiny. might be a problem with the Rom...
