Yea, there's a lot to do in the post-game. There's the Delta Episode, which is sort of an epilogue/OVA type of addition to the main story, you can catch pretty much every legendary Pokemon by finding Mirage Spots, and there's also the Battle Maison. It's definitely one of the better post-games out of all the main-series games :)

Hmm...there's no telling when Z will come out, so if you're looking to get a new Pokemon game, I'd say Alpha Sapphire is your best bet. Have you played Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire yet? Or would this be your first time?
