I believe it is impossible to beat Red/Blue and Yellow solo with Magikarp as Struggle I think is not typeless in gen 1 it is normal but correct me if I'm wrong.

So I have some progress on my Single Solo Crystal run: -Started the game and went through the boring intro stuff -Picked Totodile as my starter -Did a boring errand for Professor Elm -Met Andrew, my rival, along the way -Leveled up Totodile to 11 before arriving at Violet City -Defeated Sprout...

So I guess I'll start a solo run challenge... Username: Gamer3 Pokémon: Feraligatr Challenge: Single Game: Crystal So, this begins my attempt to solo run Crystal with every pokemon, starting with water types. Wish me best of luck with this.
