I noticed there hasn't been any chatter either here or on Reddit for a short while.
Just wanted to say keep up the good work, whether it's directly on the game or in other busy parts of life atm :)
Apologies if I'm only muddying the waters with another opinion. ;) But, what about a custom pokedex of about 250-350 spanning across all generations? You can make sure all types are represented somewhat evenly, include your personal favorites, etc. You don't wind up with an overcrowded region...
GSC were my favorite games, I can't anticipate a fresh take on them enough (especially with updated mechanics). I'll be keeping a close eye on this!
Is this project going to contain any pokemon outside of the first 250?
Brief feedback re: Ledian--I'm not sure that it was too powerful before, rather I think it seemed that way because it reached it's final evo so early. A strong, fully evolved pokemon at level 18 is pretty damn powerful.
Only 5 on the team atm, haven't decided on the 6th yet. I don't battle wild pokemon either.
Save.
Edit: Whoa, apparently accepting the gift Wartortle affected my Honedge. Check that moveset!
Yes and yes. However, I just tried again now and it works fine. Odd!
Edit: As for some actual feedback, the level curve could use some smoothing out. For example, every Rocket in Celadon has small teams of lvl 28-31 pokemon but Jessie and James come at you with a full team of 6 lvl ~38 pokemon...
I just tried out the latest version and it works fine so that's definitely it.
Note to anyone who might play right now: don't go to the Celadon department store rooftop! I went up there and got stuck in the doorway, had to go back to last save.
Unfortunately not. If I used a move with Voltorb it would have been Thundershock, though. The Kangaskhan was lvl 24 in Rock Tunnel, so the move it used had to be something one of those would have.
I used U-Turn a couple times, but mostly Brick Break. I didn't use it exclusively, it just did most of the heavy hitting.
Anyways, I'm not sure Aftermath is working properly. It just triggered without my Voltorb fainting first (ruined the Kangaskhan I finally found in Rock Tunnel ;-;).
Misty was a bit easy. Beat her on the second try with a very "meh" team. Surge looks like he'll be tougher, but should be reasonable after I beat more trainers in the area and evolve my Sunkern. Which is proving to be a bit of a struggle to find a Sun Stone with this mining minigame >:(. I have...
Oops. It was a product of the "battler" folder having another "battler" subfolder {XD}. Removing the subfolder corrected the file paths and things work now (including Honedge in battle).
Considering that I'm in Vermillion, any chance I will come across a Sun Stone soon? Sunkern is kind of...
Awesome! But...now I seem to be getting CTDs when using cut :(
This happened earlier when trying to cut with Honedge so I disregarded it. Now it's happening with Bellsprout.
